Introduction to Beekeeping Short Course

Are you interested in honey bees and beekeeping? This Short Course will give you a basic understanding of bee biology, guidance on setting up your first colony, and advice on best practices for keeping your bees healthy and thriving across the seasons. The WCBA will present a two day Beekeeping Short Course on January 8th and 15th, 2022 from 9:30 am to 3 pm, with a snow date of January 22nd, 2022.

The course will be held at: Trinity Lutheran Church 64 South Main Street Boonsboro, MD 21713

There is a $30 course enrollment fee. This fee includes a one-year membership in the Washington County Beekeepers Association. To accompany portions of the course, you may choose to bring a copy of the 5th edition of Beekeeping for Dummies by Blackiston (2020). The book is available from Amazon and other sellers.
