Super Delicious Caramels with Honey
Caramel Candy
Equipment
- 1 Candy Thermometer
- 1 Heavy duty saucepan
- 1 baking sheet with sides on baking sheet
- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 spatula
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup thin cream
- 2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chopped nuts pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- Lightly butter large backing pan
- Cook thin cream, sugar, butter and honey over low heat to 254 degree F or hard ball stage
- Stir constantly toward the end of the cooking period
- When hard ball stage met, add vanilla and nuts
- Pour into buttered pan
- When firm, lightly score for future cutting
- Cut when cold and wrap individual pieces in wax or parchment paper
