MSBA Elections and Board of Directors

Each November since 1908, the Maryland State Beekeepers Association has elected a leadership group dedicated to supporting our club’s mission of supporting beekeepers and beekeeping through education and outreach. Several hundred, all-volunteer officers have led and supported MSBA for 111 years! Please welcome (and thank!) your local and statewide officers: they want to be a point of contact and resource for you, and to hear what you have to say.

MSBA’s Ben Cooper Authors New Book

In December, Maryland beekeeper and MSBA officer Ben Cooper published All Nature Sings: A Devotional Guide to Animals in the Bible, including a lovely chapter on honey bees. Fieldwatch’s BeeCheck App for Maryland Beekeepers

At the February 2, 2019 MSBA Meeting, Maryland State Apiarist Cybil Preston will introduce us all to the Fieldwatch/BeeCheck application. Fieldwatch’s mission is “to develop and provide easy-to-use, reliable, accurate and secure on-line mapping tools intended to enhance communications that promote awareness and stewardship activities between producers of specialty crops, beekeepers and pesticide applicators.” BeeCheck is an application for beekeepers that is meant to support “Communication + Cooperation + Collaboration = Successful Co-existence.” In her presentation, Cybil will help us learn how to log in and register Read More …
