- 40 sheets phyllo dough
- 1 lb butter
- 1 cup walnuts chopped
- 1 cup pistachios chopped
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
Simple Syrup
- 1 cup local honey
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350F
Layer sheets one at a time. Melt butter and brush between each. Add walnuts, pistachios and cinnamon and layer in the middle 5 layers.
After finishing the layers, make simple syrup. Boil water and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Add honey and vanilla. Turn to low and allow to simmer 20 minutes
Cut baklava into squares. Cook baklava in oven for 45 minutes
Remove from heat ad immediately pour simple syrup over top
Allow to sit five hours - Eat!
